You are not the problem.

Being an interrogator of “problems” is my [professional/philosophical] north star. Guided by a profound commitment to understanding and addressing life’s complexities, my collaborative approach to therapy is a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy.  With Affirming-CBT, we’ll work together to identify and explore thought patterns, behaviors and environmental influences that may be keeping your hopes out of reach.  We will build up your skills and inner resources so that you can begin to make more meaningful changes in your life.

Additionally, Narrative Therapy invites us to explore the stories [we tell ourselves (and that we have been told)] about who we are and what we’re capable of. Together, we’ll examine the assumptions, social standards and norms about health, illness, and behaviour can harm those whose bodies, minds and selves don’t fit neatly into narrow boxes of “acceptability.”  And we will shine a light on the strengths and values that have always been within you.  By telling your story in a new way and considering fresh perspectives, you’ll create a more expansive future path while navigating a world that doesn’t always give you what you need.

With over a decade of experience in community and individual mental health care, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing countless individuals embrace transformative change. My growth as a therapist has been profoundly influenced by my own therapeutic journey.  I bring curiosity, creativity and exploration into counselling sessions with my flair for arts and body-based expressive practices. My goal is not just to provide you with tools and techniques but to support you as you take back the power you need to cultivate a life that feels more liberated and abundant.
